Fatehpur Sikri, India

We then took a lovely bus ride to a nearby city with ruins of a Hindu
and Muslim nature. Fatehpur Sikri was over run with people asking for
money or to buy goods.

We tried to make the most of our visit, but they harrassed us to no end! They followed us
through the entire Mesjid. In a place of Muslim worship, there was a
Hindu temple. Oh! If the original people could see what had happened
to their home...

I had an eerie feeling about the grounds aside from
the people occupying it. The city had a water system, elaborate ponds,
baths, and sewage.

There were interesting inlets in the walls of each
room. I'm not sure what was placed there... Oil lamps perhaps? The
remnants of left over artwork were fantastic and the buildings were
gorgeous.

Pushy, aggressive beggars grouped us together and surrounded us inside this area.
There was no peace in Fatehpur Sikri, India.
